Description
The Lioren is a 400mm vertical pendant light built from interlocking slabs of natural Spanish alabaster, fixed with exposed brushed brass studs and suspended on a black fabric flex. A single G9 lamp socket sits inside the slab arrangement, casting light outwards through the stone and through the gaps between the overlapping panels. The fitting measures 150mm in diameter and is finished in a soft white tone.
Designed for entrance halls, stairwells, bedside positions and over kitchen islands in clusters, the Lioren reads as a sculptural object as much as a light source. Single hung, it suits ceilings of 2.4m or above with the flex shortened on installation to set the slab roughly at eye level above a worktop or 700-800mm above a dining surface. Multiple pendants can be staggered at varying drops along an island or void.
Each alabaster panel is cut from natural stone, so the veining, tonal banding and translucency vary between individual pieces. The overlapping vertical slab construction gives the pendant a layered, architectural profile rather than a uniform shade, and the brushed brass studs are visible against the soft white stone as small points of warm metal. When lit, the seams between panels glow brighter than the body of the stone, picking out the geometry of the assembly.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Lioren take?
The pendant uses a single G9 capsule bulb (sold separately). A 3-4W G9 LED at 2700K-3000K gives a warm output that pairs well with the natural alabaster and avoids overpowering the stone.
Is each pendant identical?
No. The slabs are cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal banding and translucency vary between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and means no two Lioren pendants light up identically.
Can the drop be adjusted?
Yes. The black fabric flex is shortened on installation to set the pendant at the required height. Over a kitchen island this is typically 700-800mm above the worktop; in a stairwell or void it can be hung longer to fill the vertical space.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid water, household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, as these can mark or stain the stone permanently.
