Description

The Linsamo is a pendant light with a wide, shallow raffia shade, 98cm across and just 19cm tall, shaped like an open parasol. Broad bands of black and natural raffia radiate from the centre, giving the shade a bold sunburst pattern that reads clearly from below and from across the room. A single bulb sits at the heart of the shade, beneath a neat central fitting where the cable meets it. The metalwork is brass, and you choose its finish: Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black or Satin Brass.

At almost a metre across, this raffia pendant is made for a dining room, hung over a long table, or a living room with the ceiling space to let the shade spread out. It comes with 1m of cable as standard. One Linsamo gives a room a single strong centrepiece rather than a scatter of small lights, and the natural fibre sits comfortably alongside wood, linen, rattan and other natural textures. Choose Polished Brass or Satin Brass for a warmer glint at the centre, Antique Brass for a softer, aged tone, or Matt Black or Antique Silver for a cooler, more graphic look against the black stripes.

The shade is raffia and the metalwork is brass; the Matt Black finish is RAL 9005. Every light is made to order for you in Ireland, and the maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, though bulbs are not covered. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes one E27 bulb, up to 40W per bulb, so you can choose the bulb that suits your room. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors. As a mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install. Our photographs show the Polished Brass finish.
