Description

The Lineal is a 915mm linear LED suspension light with a sand white aluminium body housing an integrated 36W LED strip that delivers 4550 lumens at 3000K warm white. The fitting consists of a slender 30mm-wide bar suspended on two adjustable cables from a rectangular ceiling canopy, with the LED source running the full length of the bar behind a frosted diffuser strip on the underside.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and long desks where linear task light is needed, the Lineal provides downward-directed illumination across a 900mm-wide zone without spreading wastefully to the sides. The 1590mm maximum drop is adjustable down to 90mm on installation, allowing the bar to be positioned between 700-800mm above a worktop or dining surface depending on ceiling height. The sand white finish is a warm off-white with a fine matte texture that reduces fingerprints and visible dust compared to gloss white finishes.

The 4550lm output at 36W consumption gives approximately 126 lumens per watt, making the fitting efficient enough for all-evening use without generating noticeable heat buildup. The frosted diffuser prevents LED hotspots from being visible when the fitting is viewed from below or from the side. At 1.3kg the fitting is light enough to be supported on standard UK ceiling roses without additional reinforcement, though the two-point suspension distributes the weight across a wider ceiling area than a single-point pendant.

No. The integrated 36W LED runs at full output only and is not compatible with dimmer switches. If dimming is required, consider other models in the Mantra range with dimmable driver options.

The 915mm bar length suits islands and tables between 1.2m and 1.8m long. For longer surfaces, multiple Lineal fittings can be positioned end-to-end with 200-300mm spacing between each bar to create continuous illumination without dark gaps.

How is the drop height adjusted?

The two suspension cables feed through the ceiling canopy and are clamped at the desired length during installation. Once the cables are cut and clamped, the drop is fixed — the fitting cannot be raised or lowered without re-installation.

What colour is sand white compared to pure white?

Sand white is a warm off-white with a slight cream or beige undertone, closer to bone or ivory than to pure bright white. The matte texture softens the colour further under daylight, making it warmer in tone than gloss white equivalents.
