The Limo is a 62mm circular recessed wall light with an integrated 3W 3000K LED, a white powder-coated aluminium body, and an IP65 rating for outdoor use. The frosted ring diffuser around the central void creates a circular wash of warm white light across the wall surface, making the fitting visible as a soft glowing ring rather than a bright point source.

Designed for recessed installation into brick walls, rendered facades, garden retaining walls and outdoor steps, the Limo provides low-level pathway lighting and step definition without glare. The 62mm diameter and 62mm depth fit within a standard masonry wall cavity, requiring a chase to be cut during installation or the fitting to be incorporated during new build or hard landscaping works. The IP65 rating protects against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, allowing the fitting to be installed on exposed exterior walls.

The white powder-coated aluminium finish resists UV degradation and corrosion in outdoor environments. What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?

IP65 indicates the fitting is fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand low-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for exposed exterior walls, garden walls and pathways where the fitting may be subject to rain and garden hose spray.

How is the Limo installed?

The fitting recesses into a circular chase cut into masonry or brickwork, with a depth of at least 62mm required behind the wall surface to accommodate the body. The mains cable is brought through the wall cavity and connected to the fitting's terminal block. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician and typically forms part of hard landscaping or building works.

Can the LED be replaced?

The 3W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. Maytoni rate the LED module for 30,000 hours of use, equivalent to approximately 10 years at 8 hours per night operation.

What spacing works for pathway lighting?

For continuous low-level pathway definition, spacing the Limo fittings 1.5-2m apart along a wall or step riser provides overlapping pools of light. Wider spacing of 2.5-3m creates accent points rather than continuous illumination.
