Description

The Feiss Lighthouse is an outdoor chain-hung lantern with a textured black aluminium and steel frame, clear seeded glass panels and an IP44 weather-resistant rating. The lantern stands 241mm tall and 121mm wide, with a nautical-inspired cage design that wraps horizontal bands around a single E27 bulb fitting inside the glass cylinder. The 1524mm chain allows the drop to be adjusted between 325mm and 1884mm on installation.

Designed for covered outdoor positions — porches, verandas, carports, pergolas, covered entryways — the Lighthouse provides downward and diffused light through the clear seeded glass. The seeding in the glass scatters the light from the bulb into a softer spread, reducing glare while maintaining visibility. The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, making the lantern suitable for positions that see rain but not full water exposure or submersion.

The textured black finish is powder-coated onto aluminium and steel, giving a matte surface that resists fingerprints and blends into most exterior colour schemes without competing with architectural detail. The horizontal cage bands reference traditional maritime lanterns while the proportions remain compact enough for standard door canopy installations. The E27 socket accepts any standard LED or filament bulb up to 60W (sold separately), giving control over colour temperature and brightness depending on the outdoor space.

IP44 means the lantern is protected against splashing water from any direction. This makes it suitable for covered outdoor positions like porches, verandas and carports where it will see rain but not direct hose spray or submersion. What bulb does it take?

The Lighthouse takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor ambient lighting.

Can the chain length be adjusted?

Yes. The 1524mm chain allows the drop to be set anywhere between 325mm and 1884mm during installation by removing chain links. The minimum drop of 325mm suits standard door canopies, while the maximum drop works for higher porch ceilings or covered pergola beams.

How is the textured black finish maintained?

The powder-coated aluminium and steel frame requires minimal maintenance. Wipe down with a damp cloth periodically to remove outdoor dust and pollen. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can damage the textured finish.
