Lexi 2 Light Crystal Wall Light - Polished Chrome

The Lexi is a 2-light crystal wall light built around a handcrafted polished chrome framework of intersecting metal rods, each rod extending outward at varying angles to create an abstract starburst structure. Strands of Asfour cut crystal hang from multiple points across the frame, catching and refracting light from two G4 bulbs mounted at the centre. The polished chrome finish reflects both the crystal and ambient room light, multiplying the sparkle effect.

Designed for hallways, bedroom feature walls and living room alcoves, the Lexi functions as both ambient lighting and decorative sculpture. The 340mm width and 230mm projection suit walls where a traditional sconce would sit too flat or a pendant would hang too low. The G4 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the crystal strands, so the light source is diffused and the fitting reads as a glowing crystal arrangement rather than exposed bulbs. The fixture is dimmable using a trailing-edge dimmer, allowing the intensity to be adjusted for evening mood lighting or brighter daytime use.

Each metal rod in the chrome framework is hand-bent and welded, meaning the exact angles and spacing differ slightly between individual units — this is a feature of the handcrafted construction rather than a defect. The Asfour crystal is precision-cut in Egypt and carries more weight and clarity than moulded acrylic alternatives, giving a sharper rainbow refraction when lit. The 1kg total weight requires fixing to a solid wall or into a stud rather than plasterboard alone.

What bulbs does the Lexi take?

The fitting takes two G4 capsule bulbs up to 20W each. G4 bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white halogen or LED G4 capsules at 10-20W and 2700K-3000K. Note that the specification states the fitting is not LED/CFL compatible, so halogen G4 bulbs are recommended.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable G4 bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer. The dimmer type must match the bulb technology — halogen bulbs typically work with standard trailing-edge dimmers, while LED G4 bulbs may require a specific LED-compatible dimmer.

How far does it project from the wall?

The Lexi projects 230mm from the wall when installed. This is deeper than a traditional sconce, so ensure there is clearance in hallways or next to doorways where the fitting could be knocked.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool completely. Wipe each crystal strand gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For heavier dust, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal frame or getting water into the electrical fittings. Do not use glass cleaners or polishes on Asfour crystal.
