Description

A slim over-cabinet light with a head that tilts and turns, so the light lands where you want it rather than wherever the fitting happens to point. It takes a single GU10 lamp, and an LED reflector is what we would put in it. Black runs the whole way through, from head to arm and down the flex, which measures two metres and arrives without a plug fitted. It comes as a pair, useful when a cabinet is wide enough to want lighting from both ends.

This is the sort of fitting we reach for above display cabinets and glazed dressers, where a ceiling light would miss the shelf altogether. It suits collectors of glass and ceramics, the top of a bookcase in a study, a run of cabinetry along a dining room wall, or a high shelf in a kitchen. Because the head adjusts, you can wash the surface below or angle forward onto the pieces stood on it. There is no switch on the body itself, and dimming is possible so long as the lamp you choose is a dimmable one.

The build is double insulated, and the compact head keeps the whole thing discreet above a cabinet rather than competing with what it lights. Keep it to dry rooms, away from steam and splashing. Black hides fingerprints better than polished metal, and an occasional dry cloth over the head and along the cable, power off first, is all the attention it asks for. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the same fitting in brass and satin nickel, and there is a Type B version in all three finishes if you would rather a different head profile. Lamps are not included.
