Description

The Leimo is a 1-light wall light built around a polished chrome frame that curves outward in three flowing arms, supporting a crystal-filled sphere shade and a frosted white glass dome. The right-hand orientation means the crystal sphere sits to the right when the fitting is viewed head-on, designed to pair with a left-hand version for symmetrical placement on either side of a mirror, bed or doorway.

The fitting takes a single G9 bulb up to 33W (sold separately), housed inside the frosted glass dome which softens direct glare. The crystal sphere sits in front of the dome on its own stem, acting as a decorative accent that catches and refracts ambient light during the day and adds sparkle when the bulb is lit. At 250mm width and 130mm projection from the wall, the Leimo suits bedrooms, hallways and living room alcoves where a decorative wall light is needed without dominating the available wall space.

The polished chrome finish on the frame and mounting plate gives high reflectivity, pairing well with mirrored furniture, glass-topped side tables and other chrome or nickel-finished metalwork in contemporary and transitional interiors. The crystal sphere is made from faceted acrylic beads set into a chrome wire cage, giving the appearance of cut crystal at a fraction of the weight. Dimmer compatibility depends on the G9 bulb chosen — pair with a dimmable LED G9 to control brightness from a wall dimmer.

What does 'right-hand orientation' mean?

When you face the wall light head-on after installation, the crystal sphere sits to the right of the frosted glass dome. This is designed to pair with the left-hand version (IL30951/L) for symmetrical placement on either side of a feature like a mirror or bed.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use a dimmable G9 bulb. The fitting itself is compatible with dimmer switches, but dimming depends entirely on the bulb specification. Most LED G9 bulbs state dimmer compatibility on the packaging.

What bulb is recommended?

A G9 LED bulb between 3-5W in warm white (2700K-3000K) provides enough light for ambient and accent use without overpowering a bedroom or hallway. The fitting accepts up to 33W, so halogen G9 bulbs can also be used if higher output is needed.

Can it be fitted above a bed as a reading light?

The Leimo is primarily decorative rather than task-focused. The frosted dome diffuses light in all directions rather than directing it downward, so it provides ambient wash rather than concentrated reading light. For bedside reading, a separate adjustable wall light or table lamp would be more suitable.
