Description

This light-up decoration turns a gnarled old tree into a little home, with a turreted cottage perched among its branches and a stone-built doorway tucked into the trunk. It is made from resin and finished in grey and green: grey slate-style roofs rising to pointed spires, grey stonework around the doors and steps, and clusters of textured green foliage, with cream walls and a dark brown trunk set on a bed of rounded rocks. Arched windows and doors are set into each level, and they light up from within when the LED is on. It stands 19.8cm tall, 25cm wide and 12.5cm deep.

Its size suits a bookshelf, a mantelpiece, a desk, a dresser or a bedside table, and it sits among books, plants and ornaments in a sitting room, bedroom or study. Because it runs on batteries, there is no flex to hide and no need to place it near a socket, so you can set it wherever it is seen best. On a dark evening the lit windows make a cosy point of interest in a quiet corner, as though someone inside has just come home. It is a light for dry rooms indoors, so keep it on a shelf or table inside the house.

Two AA batteries power it. They are not included, so have a pair to hand.
