Description
The Knightsbridge EMTWINLIP is a non-maintained LED emergency twin spot light with two independently-adjustable LED heads mounted on a white polycarbonate base unit. In emergency mode, the integrated LiFePO4 battery powers both LED heads for a minimum of 3 hours at 480 lumens combined output, providing exit route illumination during mains power failure. The IP65 rating allows installation in both indoor and outdoor locations exposed to rain and dust.
Designed for commercial, industrial and public building emergency lighting compliance, the twin spot configuration directs light across exit routes, stairwells, corridors and external evacuation zones. The LED heads rotate on their mounts, allowing one to be aimed down a corridor while the other illuminates a doorway or turn. The polycarbonate housing withstands impact and UV exposure without yellowing, making it suitable for external mounting on building facades, car parks and covered walkways.
The non-maintained mode means the LED heads only activate when mains power is lost — they do not operate as standard lighting during normal use. This conserves battery life and reduces lamp hour consumption compared to maintained emergency lights. The SMD LED technology provides 6000K daylight-white output with an 80-degree beam angle from each head, and the integrated battery recharges automatically when mains power is restored. The unit measures 301mm high, 280mm wide and projects 90mm from the wall once fitted.

Frequently Asked
What does non-maintained mean?
Non-maintained emergency lights only activate when mains power is lost. The LED heads remain off during normal operation and switch on automatically during power failure, running from the internal battery for a minimum of 3 hours.
Can this be used outdoors?
Yes. The IP65 rating provides protection against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making the unit suitable for external mounting on building facades, covered car parks, external stairwells and outdoor evacuation routes.
Are the LED heads adjustable?
Yes. Both LED heads rotate on their mounts, allowing them to be aimed independently. This lets you direct one head down a corridor while the other illuminates a doorway, turn, or ground-level hazard.
How is the battery recharged?
The LiFePO4 battery recharges automatically when the unit is connected to mains power. Once installed and energised, the battery maintains charge readiness without requiring manual intervention or external charging equipment.
