Description

This is a pair of GU10 LED spotlight bulbs giving a cool white light at 4000K. Each one has a clear glass reflector with faceted sides around a flat front, set on a white base with the two-pin, twist-and-lock GU10 cap. Each bulb is 5.4cm long and 5cm across and gives 345lm, made for spotlight heads, track lights and downlights that take a GU10 cap. They are rated IP20, which settles where they belong: indoors, in dry rooms, and never outdoors or near water.

Cool white at 4000K is a crisp, clear light that keeps a room feeling bright and awake, which is why we suggest it for kitchens, home offices, studies, utility rooms and hallways. It also suits spotlight bars and track heads aimed at a worktop, a desk or a bookshelf, where you want to see properly. Because they come as a pair, a twin spotlight bar or two neighbouring downlights can be fitted with matching bulbs in one go, so every head gives the same colour of light. That matters more than people expect: mixing a cool white bulb with a warmer one in the same room is easy to spot.

These bulbs are not dimmable, so use them on an ordinary on and off switch rather than a dimmer. They run on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains straight through the fitting and carry an energy class of D. The pack weighs 0.093KG. To change one, cut the power first, let the old bulb cool, then push the new bulb into the holder and turn it until it locks. A wipe with a soft, dry cloth now and then keeps the glass front clear. Before you buy, check that your fitting takes a GU10 cap and has room for a bulb 5.4cm long.
