Description

This is a GU10 LED bulb with a glass body, a satin finish front and a white two-pin base. Its familiar reflector shape fits the twist-and-lock GU10 holders found in spotlights, track heads and recessed downlights. It is 5.4cm long and 5cm across, a standard size for a GU10 spot. It gives 400lm of warm white light at 3000K, and it carries an IP20 rating, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, inside a fitting.

We suggest it for the spotlights over a kitchen worktop, a bar of ceiling spots in a hallway, living room or bedroom, and the downlights in a dining area where a warm, homely feel suits the evening. At 3000K the light is warm and gentle, with a slight yellow tone, and it sits comfortably beside wood, linen and painted walls. With 400lm from each bulb, a group of spots across a ceiling gives steady general light, and a single spot picks out a picture, a shelf or a corner. Because the rating is IP20, keep it away from bathrooms, showers and anything outdoors.

The body is glass with a satin finish across the front, which softens the light and keeps the bright points of the LEDs out of view.
