Description
The Larsson is a Scandinavian modern rug in blue and cream, made up of geometric panels that meet along clean diagonal lines. One panel has a soft, mottled look where the two colours drift into each other, another is set out in neat rows of short bars, and a third runs in fine vertical lines of small arrow shapes, rather like a herringbone. It has plenty to look at, yet in just two quiet colours it reads as one calm rug instead of a patchwork.
It belongs in the light, simple rooms Scandinavian style is known for: pale wooden floors, white walls, oak, cane and linen, where the cool blue settles in and the cream keeps things bright. We sell it in three sizes. The 80 by 150cm rug suits a bedside or a reading corner, the 120 by 170cm sits well in front of a sofa or under a coffee table, and the 160 by 230cm is large enough to anchor a seating area or go under a bed.
Choosing a size is mostly about how much floor you want covered. Mark the outline on the floor with masking tape before ordering to see how the panels fall around your furniture; a rug looks most settled when the front legs of a sofa or chairs rest on it. As the panels differ from end to end, you can also turn it round to put whichever panel you like best nearest your favourite seat.

Frequently Asked
What sizes does the Larsson rug come in?
We sell it in three sizes: 80 by 150cm, 120 by 170cm and 160 by 230cm, from a bedside rug up to one large enough for a seating area.
What colours are in the Larsson rug?
It is blue and cream throughout, a cool, soft blue set against cream, with the two colours mixing into a mottled look on one of the panels.
What is the pattern like on the Larsson rug?
The rug is divided into geometric panels along diagonal lines, combining a mottled section, rows of short bars and fine vertical lines of small arrow shapes.
Which size of Larsson rug should I choose for my living room?
In a smaller living room the 120 by 170cm size works well in front of the sofa; in a larger space the 160 by 230cm lets the front legs of your sofa and chairs rest on it.
Will the Larsson rug suit a Scandinavian style room?
Yes. It is a modern, Scandinavian rug, and its blue and cream panels sit comfortably with pale wood, white walls and natural materials such as cane and linen.
