Description

The Lanza is a 3-light semi-flush ceiling light built on a geometric metal frame in an antique nickel finish, wrapped with a rectangular linen fabric shade and backed by an acrylic lens diffuser. Each of the three E27 bulb positions sits behind the linen fabric, which diffuses the light outward and downward through the lower acrylic panel, creating ambient illumination rather than direct glare.

Designed for hallways, dining rooms and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.6m, the Lanza sits 267mm below the ceiling once fitted, giving enough vertical clearance for door frames and typical circulation routes without encroaching into headspace. The 387mm width suits rooms between 3-4m wide, providing adequate spread of light without dominating smaller ceilings. The fixture mounts directly to a standard UK ceiling rose using a rectangular metal backplate.

The antique nickel finish on the metal frame is a low-sheen grey-toned metal that sits between polished nickel and brushed steel in appearance, pairing well with cooler colour schemes and contemporary interiors that use grey, white and charcoal palettes. The linen fabric shade softens the metal framework and adds texture to the overall appearance. The geometric pattern of the overlapping rectangular frames on each side of the fixture creates visual interest when viewed from any angle in the room.

Frequently Asked

What bulbs does the Lanza take?

The fixture has three E27 (Edison screw) sockets, each rated for a maximum 60W bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient living space lighting.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 267mm drop from ceiling to base makes the Lanza well-suited to rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.6m, including typical UK bedroom and hallway ceiling heights. The semi-flush design keeps the fitting close to the ceiling without protruding into circulation space.

Can the linen shade be cleaned?

The linen fabric can be gently dusted with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric and do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners as these may stain or damage the material.

What ceiling rose or backplate fitting is needed?

The Lanza mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose using the rectangular metal backplate supplied with the fixture. The backplate covers typical UK ceiling rose diameters and conceals the cable entry point.
