Description

The Langton is a single light flush uplighter, its brass, metal and glass construction sitting close to the ceiling and throwing its single E27 lamp upward rather than down into the room. It measures 350mm across with a 300mm projection, giving it a good, confident size for a flush fitting without ever hanging low, and the brass finish adds a warm metallic note wherever it sits.

Because it throws its light up and across the ceiling rather than straight down, the Langton gives a softer, reflected glow that suits bedrooms, living rooms and hallways where you want gentle ambient light rather than a bright, direct source overhead. It works well in rooms with standard ceiling heights, where the light can bounce back down evenly across the space, and it makes a good choice for a room that already has task lighting elsewhere and simply needs a warm, indirect background glow in the evening.

We finish the Langton in brass, with a glass diffuser that softens the light as it's thrown upward and a metal frame that holds its shape well over time. Dust it with a soft, dry cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners, which can mark either the brass or the glass. It's fully dimmable with a compatible dimmable lamp and a suitable dimmer switch, so you can dial the uplight back for the evening, and fitting a warm white LED lamp will keep the glow soft while keeping running costs low, making it an easy, understated addition wherever you need a gentle wash of light rather than a bright main fitting.
