Description

This hip flask carries the word LANCASTER across its front in bold dark lettering, over two illustrations of the Lancaster aircraft: one looking down on it from overhead, the other in side profile. Both are printed in camouflage colours with red, white and blue roundels, and they stand out well against the brushed silver body. The flask is made from iron and steel and holds 6oz, a sensible measure for a day out. It is 11.5cm tall, 9cm wide and just 2cm deep, so it slips easily into an inside jacket pocket or the side of a bag without adding bulk.

It makes a thoughtful Father's Day gift that is easy to wrap and sure to be used. The flask is just the right size for a country walk, a cold afternoon on the touchline, a day at the races or an evening around a campfire, tucked away until it is wanted. The back is left plain brushed metal, apart from a fine line of small print near the base, so the design faces outward and the reverse sits cleanly against a pocket lining.
