Description

A neat round spotlight in black, 93mm across the visible rim, with a funnel-shaped inner profile that steps in towards the lamp and keeps the source tucked back out of the eyeline. The funnel is centred, so the light falls straight down rather than being thrown off to one side. It takes a GU10 lamp of up to 12W, and the lampholder is already in place.

This is a fitting we sell by the handful rather than the one: a run along a hallway, a line above a kitchen worktop, a few across a utility room or a landing, and on its own where a single pool of light is all a reading chair or a corner shelf asks for. A reflector lamp suits the funnel best, since the beam is gathered rather than spilling sideways. Dimming is possible where the lamps you fit are themselves dimmable and the control is matched to them; no dimmer comes with it.

The body is a light, double-insulated moulding with the black carried through the funnel as well as the rim, which keeps it reading as a dark circle rather than a bright ring when the lamp is off. It suits dry rooms indoors and runs on ordinary household mains. For cleaning, switch off at the wall, wait until the lamp is cold, then run a dry cloth around the rim and inside the funnel; sprays and solvents will dull the finish, so leave them out of it. We also stock the same funnel in white, square versions in both colours, and an angled funnel if you would rather push light towards a wall or a run of artwork, and mixing the round black ones through a kitchen with the squares elsewhere works better than you might expect. It carries a two year warranty. Lamps are not included.
