The Lainio is a compact wall spotlight made from brass and steel, with a single tapered shade that tilts on a swivel joint so you can point the light where you need it. Depending on the angle of the head, it stands between 8cm and 15cm tall, is 8cm wide and reaches between 12cm and 18cm out from the wall. It comes in a long list of finishes: Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Natural Brass, Satin Brass, Polished Brass, Black, Bronze, Chrome (powder coat), Grey, Matt Antique Pink, Matt Black, Matt Honey Yellow, Matt Mint Turquoise, Matt Sapphire Blue, Matt Traffic Grey, Matt Vanilla Cream, Matt White, Orange, Red, Racing Green, Sage Green, White and Yellow.

A wall spotlight earns its place where you want light aimed rather than spread. In a kitchen it puts a focused pool of light on the task in hand, and because it sits on the wall it leaves the ceiling clear. The tilting head also makes it a good reading light beside a bed or an armchair. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. The coloured finishes lift a plain wall, while the brass finishes and Antique Silver suit a quieter, more traditional room.

The Black, Bronze, Chrome (powder coat), Grey, Orange, Red, Racing Green, Sage Green, White and Yellow finishes, and every Matt finish, have their metal details in Polished Brass, a warm contrast with the colour. Every light is made to order for you. It is wired in to the mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes one GU10 bulb, up to 6.5W per bulb (LED), so have one ready for the day it goes up.
