Description

The Laguna is a 635mm table lamp built around a cylindrical shade of taupe mica with a central band of copper-toned mosaic glass tiles. Two E27 sockets sit inside the drum shade, each controlled by a separate pull-chain switch on the lamp head. The base, stem and shade frame are finished in renaissance copper, a warm bronze-toned metal finish that darkens slightly in recesses and picks up the copper shimmer in the mosaic band.

Designed for side tables next to sofas, bedroom nightstands and console tables in entrance halls, the Laguna provides warm ambient light filtered through the translucent mica and reflected off the mosaic tiles. The dual bulb configuration allows both sockets to be used for higher output (up to 120W combined) or a single bulb for lower light levels. The pull chains on the lamp head mean the light can be switched without reaching for a wall switch or plug.

The mosaic tiles run in a single horizontal band around the centre of the shade, each small square set at slightly different angles so the surface catches and reflects light unevenly when lit. The mica shade material is natural stone veneer laminated onto a backing, so each shade shows different mineral patterns and tonal variation. The 406mm width and 635mm height suit standard side table proportions without dominating the surface, and the round base provides stability on flat surfaces.
