This little ladybird trinket box is made from metal alloy and hand painted in a glossy red, with round black spots filled with sparkling black stones and a fine gold-coloured line running down the centre of its shell. A band of clear stones edges the front of the shell above white and yellow markings, and the black head peers out with two bright red eyes. The ladybird rests on a green leaf with gold-coloured edges and a curling stalk, so the whole piece looks like a tiny garden scene.
