Description

The Lacey is a 508mm diameter semi-flush ceiling light with a mission bronze metal frame supporting a double-layer shade system: an outer organza fabric drum and an inner opal glass diffuser. Four curved arms rise from a circular ceiling plate to support the shade assembly, which sits 337mm below the ceiling when installed. The fitting takes four E27 bulbs (sold separately), each rated up to 60W.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, dining rooms and low-ceiling living areas where a pendant would hang too low, the semi-flush format provides ambient room lighting without projecting more than 350mm from the ceiling. The organza outer shade softens the light output and adds a textile warmth to the room, while the inner opal glass prevents direct bulb glare and distributes light evenly across the ceiling plane. The bronze finish on the metalwork provides a dark contrast to the cream-toned shades.

The double-shade construction diffuses light in two stages: the inner opal glass scatters the raw bulb output, and the outer organza fabric softens that again before it enters the room. This layering produces a glow rather than a beam, making the Lacey better suited to ambient lighting than task lighting. The 508mm diameter works in rooms of 12-18m² without dominating the ceiling.
