Description

The Kichler Lacey is a 381mm diameter semi-flush ceiling light with a double-layered shade system: an outer layer of sheer organza fabric and an inner opal glass diffuser, both banded at top and bottom by a mission bronze metal frame. Three E27 bulbs inside the drum (sold separately) light both layers, creating a soft, diffused glow that filters through the fabric and glass. The fitting sits 278mm below the ceiling on curved bronze arms that connect the shade to a circular ceiling plate.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.7m where a full pendant drop would hang too low, the Lacey suits bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and landings needing overhead ambient light without the projection of a fully flush-mount fitting. The 381mm diameter works in rooms 3-4m square, providing even light distribution across the ceiling plane without creating a central hot-spot. The semi-flush mount allows air circulation above the shade, reducing heat build-up compared to fully enclosed flush fittings.

The mission bronze finish on the metalwork has a warm, slightly textured surface that reads darker than polished brass but lighter than oil-rubbed bronze. The organza outer layer softens the light output and hides the bulbs from view when looking up at the fitting, while the opal glass inner layer prevents glare and distributes light evenly. The double-shade construction gives the Lacey a three-dimensional presence — it projects light both downward through the base and outward through the sides. Each of the three E27 sockets accepts bulbs up to 60W, giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or filament bulbs in the desired colour temperature and brightness.
