Description

The Kyra is a single-arm crystal wall light with a pull-cord switch, finished in satin nickel with faceted crystal droplets suspended from the arm and backplate. The fitting takes one E14 candle bulb up to 40W (sold separately) behind a flame-tip glass shade, with the cut crystal accents refracting both direct lamp light and reflected light from the surrounding wall.

Designed for bedside use, hallway accent lighting or flanking bathroom mirrors in pairs, the Kyra provides switched light control without needing a wall switch nearby. The 190mm projection from the wall positions the bulb clear of the mounting surface, reducing glare when the lamp is viewed from the side. The pull-cord hangs from the underside of the backplate and can be pulled from bed height or standing, making it practical for children and adults.

The satin nickel finish is a brushed pewter-grey tone that sits between polished chrome and antique brass, pairing comfortably with grey-toned interiors, white walls and warm neutrals. Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with a dimmable E14 bulb and wired to a compatible dimmer switch. The pull-cord switch on the fitting itself is on/off only and does not dim the light.

How does the pull-cord switch work?

The pull-cord hangs from the underside of the circular backplate and operates as a standard toggle switch — one pull turns the light on, the next pull turns it off. The cord length is fixed and cannot be adjusted after installation.

Can it be installed above a bedside table?

Yes. The standard bedside wall light height is 1.2-1.4m from the floor, which positions the Kyra at reading height when seated in bed. The 190mm projection clears most bedside tables and headboards, directing light downwards and outwards rather than straight back at the wall.
