Kurlz 15 Light Crystal Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The Kurlz is an 800mm semi-flush ceiling light built from interwoven polished chrome ribbons that curl and loop across each other in a three-dimensional lattice, each ribbon tipped with a faceted Asfour crystal disc. Fifteen G4 halogen lamps sit within the structure, casting light through and across the chrome ribbons and crystal discs to create layers of reflection and refraction across the fitting's surface.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Kurlz provides both ambient and decorative lighting. The 560mm drop from ceiling to base keeps the fitting accessible in standard residential ceiling heights while maintaining presence — the 800mm width suits rooms of 4m x 4m or larger. The semi-flush mount fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose with the chrome canopy concealing the wiring and support structure.

Each chrome ribbon is formed from polished stainless steel, giving a mirror-finish that reflects daylight and artificial light sources back into the room. The Asfour crystal discs are cut with multiple facets that break and scatter light, so the fitting appears to shift and change depending on viewing angle and time of day. The fifteen lamps are G4 halogen capsules (included), each rated at 20W for a combined 300W output. The fitting weighs 8kg and requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced plasterboard anchor.

The Kurlz is dimmable when paired with a trailing-edge dimmer switch compatible with halogen lamps. The fitting is NOT compatible with LED or CFL G4 replacement bulbs due to the transformer specification — only halogen G4 capsules should be used.

Can I use LED G4 bulbs in the Kurlz?

No. The Kurlz is specified for halogen G4 capsules only and is not compatible with LED or CFL G4 replacement bulbs. The transformer inside the fitting is designed for the load characteristics of halogen lamps and will not operate correctly with LED equivalents.

Is the Kurlz dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a trailing-edge dimmer switch compatible with halogen lamps. Standard leading-edge dimmers may cause flicker or hum. The fifteen halogen lamps provide a combined 300W load, so the dimmer must be rated accordingly.
