Description
The Kula is a 9 light chandelier built around a central polished nickel hub with nine linear arms extending outward, each ending in a smoked mirror glass globe. The globes measure approximately 150mm in diameter and house E14 candle bulbs (sold separately), with each bulb visible through the semi-transparent mirrored glass. The polished nickel frame spans 880mm across, giving the chandelier substantial presence without requiring excessive ceiling height.
Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and hallways with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Kula provides both ambient and decorative lighting. The drop is adjustable between 567mm and 1601mm on installation, allowing it to be set 700-900mm above a dining table or positioned higher in a double-height entrance hall. The nine-arm configuration distributes light evenly across the space below, making the chandelier functional as well as a central feature.
The smoked mirror glass gives each globe a reflective outer surface with a darker tint that softens the glare from the exposed filament bulbs inside. When the bulbs are off, the glass presents as a near-opaque grey-silver; when lit, the filaments glow warmly through the smoked finish. The polished nickel arms and central hub provide a cooler metallic contrast to the warmer bulb light, working across both contemporary and mid-century interiors. The frame is arranged in a double-tier configuration with four globes on the upper arms and five on the lower, creating a balanced asymmetry when viewed from below.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Kula take?
The chandelier takes nine E14 candle bulbs, each up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with LED filament candles between 4-6W and 2700K for a warm mid-century aesthetic that complements the smoked glass.
What ceiling height is needed?
The drop is adjustable between 567mm and 1601mm during installation. For positioning above a dining table, the chandelier typically sits 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. The 880mm diameter requires adequate clearance from walls and furniture below.
Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?
The drop is set during installation by adjusting the chain length. Once installed, changing the drop height requires taking the chandelier down and re-adjusting the chain, which is not a routine maintenance task.
How does the smoked mirror glass affect the light output?
The smoked mirror finish reduces direct glare from the exposed bulbs while still allowing warm light to pass through. When lit, the glass presents as translucent with a smoky tint, diffusing the filament glow across the room rather than creating harsh downward beams.
