Description

The Kula is a single-light wall fitting with a 150mm smoked glass sphere suspended on a straight polished nickel arm from a circular polished nickel backplate. The sphere houses a single E14 bulb (sold separately) up to 40W, with the smoked glass diffusing the light source while allowing warm illumination through. The backplate fixes to the wall with two visible screws and projects 204mm from the wall when fitted.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living room walls where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Kula provides soft mood lighting rather than bright directional light. The 260mm height and compact projection suit typical UK ceiling heights of 2.4m and wall widths where sconces are spaced 1.5-2m apart for symmetry. The smoked glass reduces glare from exposed filament bulbs, making the fitting suitable for positions at eye level.

The polished nickel finish gives a mirror-like reflective surface that catches surrounding light and adds a metallic accent to both contemporary and mid-century interiors. The smoked glass sphere is mouth-blown, so slight tonal variation and minor surface irregularities are inherent to the manufacturing process. The combination of polished metal hardware and smoked glass pairs comfortably with grey, white and warm-toned wall colours.
