Description

The Kubick is a 390mm geometric LED ceiling or wall light built around a hexagonal matte black frame that projects 50mm from the mounting surface. The integrated 32W LED sits behind a white diffuser panel recessed within the frame, casting 1870 lumens of 3000K warm white light through a 110° beam angle. The cubic frame design creates a three-dimensional geometric silhouette against the wall or ceiling.

Designed for dual mounting as either a flush ceiling light or a wall light, the Kubick suits low-ceiling rooms where a traditional pendant would hang too low, and hallways or feature walls where geometric accent lighting is needed. The 450mm height and shallow 50mm projection mean it fits comfortably in rooms with 2.3-2.4m ceiling heights without intruding into head space. The black frame contrasts with white or light-coloured ceilings and walls, making the geometric form more defined.

The matte black powder-coated aluminium frame resists fingerprints and minor scuffs better than gloss finishes, and the recessed diffuser panel sits protected within the frame rather than flush with it. The integrated LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer (dimmer sold separately), allowing the 1870lm output to be reduced for evening use or boosted for task lighting. At 1.62kg the fitting needs secure fixing to joists or solid wall, not just plasterboard alone.

Yes. The integrated 32W LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer. The dimmer is sold separately and must be rated for LED loads. Incompatible dimmers may cause flickering or reduced dimming range.

Both. The Kubick is designed as a dual-mount fitting and can be installed as a flush ceiling light or as a wall light. The mounting plate fits standard UK ceiling roses and wall back boxes, and the 50mm projection works in both orientations.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 450mm height and 50mm projection make the Kubick suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or above. It works well in low-ceiling spaces where a pendant would hang too low, and in hallways or landings with limited head clearance.

What fixing is required for the 1.62kg weight?

The fitting must be secured to a solid ceiling joist, a wall stud, or a masonry wall with appropriate wall plugs and screws. Plasterboard alone will not support the weight safely without additional reinforcement such as a cavity fixing or metal back plate.
