The Kromo is a 440mm square semi-flush ceiling light built around four blocks of carved optical glass set within a curved antique brass frame. Each glass block is faceted with geometric cuts that refract light across multiple surfaces, turning each G9 bulb into a distributed light source rather than a single point. The brass arms curve outward from a central square mounting plate, cradling the glass at four points in a symmetrical arrangement.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and entrance halls with standard ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Kromo provides ambient illumination without hanging low into the room. The 140mm projection from ceiling to base sits below the clearance threshold for most ceiling fans and keeps the fitting out of head-clearance zones in hallways. The four G9 bulbs are sold separately, allowing control over colour temperature and brightness — most buyers pair with warm-white LED G9s between 2700K-3000K for a softer ambient effect.

The antique brass finish is darker and more muted than polished brass, sitting somewhere between aged bronze and brushed gold with a low-sheen surface that minimises reflections. The optical glass blocks weigh 5.2kg combined with the frame, giving the fitting a solid presence when mounted. Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming but requires dimmable bulbs to function on a dimmer circuit.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 140mm projection from ceiling to base suits rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings or above. In lower-ceiling rooms the fitting still works but sits closer to head height in walking zones, so it's best positioned centrally over a dining table or in the centre of a living room rather than in narrow hallways.

How is the optical glass cleaned?

The carved glass blocks can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth while the bulbs are off and cool. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the brass frame or getting moisture into the lamp sockets.
