Kriss 40cm Circle 1 Light Glass Pendant Light - Bronze

The Kriss is a 40cm glass sphere pendant light in smoked bronze glass with a ribbed bronze-tone metal diffuser funnel suspended inside the sphere. The GU10 downward-facing fitting sits at the top of the funnel, directing light downward through the ribbed metalwork and outward through the surrounding glass globe. The double-layer effect creates both focused downlight and a warm ambient glow through the bronze-tinted glass.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Kriss provides both task and decorative lighting. The adjustable drop ranges from 400mm to 1800mm, allowing the pendant to be positioned 700-900mm above a worktop or dining surface depending on ceiling height. The GU10 fitting accepts any standard GU10 LED or halogen bulb up to the manufacturer's recommended wattage (bulb sold separately), giving control over light temperature and brightness.

The smoked bronze glass is mouth-blown, so each sphere shows slight tonal variation and subtle surface texture. The inner funnel is formed from vertically ribbed metal with a bronze powder-coat finish that complements the glass tone without matching it exactly. The combined glass sphere and metal funnel give the pendant a 1.5kg weight, requiring a ceiling rose rated for at least 2kg and a secure fixing into ceiling joists or blocking. The bronze tone pairs with warm metallics, walnut timber and terracotta palettes.

What bulb does the Kriss take?

Is the Kriss dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself is passive wiring with no electronic components, so dimming depends entirely on the bulb and dimmer combination you choose.

What ceiling height does it need?

The 400-1800mm adjustable drop works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. For a dining table the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.5m when set to the minimum 400mm drop.
