Description

The Knot is a 190mm x 240mm LED wall light built around a continuous looped form that appears to fold through itself, finished in polished chrome with a frosted white internal diffuser. The integrated 12W LED sits within the loop and emits 840lm of 3000K warm white light through the translucent white acrylic, which softens the beam to a 120° spread across the wall surface.

Designed by Santiago Sevillano, the fitting works in living rooms, hallways and dining rooms where wall-mounted accent lighting is needed without the bulk of a traditional wall bracket. The 170mm projection from the wall gives the loop depth and allows light to spill both forward and backward, creating a halo effect on the wall behind. The polished chrome outer surface reflects ambient room light during the day, giving the fitting a sculptural presence even when switched off.

The body is moulded from polycarbonate and fibreglass, keeping the weight to 0.55kg despite the substantial appearance of the loop form. The chrome plating is applied over the polycarbonate shell, giving a mirror-like finish that picks up reflections from adjacent surfaces. The LED is non-dimmable and rated for 220-240V UK mains, with a 3-year warranty covering the fitting and integrated light source.

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and operates at a fixed 12W output on 220-240V mains.

What light output does it provide?

The fitting produces 840lm at 3000K warm white, distributed across a 120° beam angle. This is comparable to a traditional 60W incandescent bulb in brightness, though the wide beam means the light is spread across wall and ceiling surfaces rather than concentrated in one spot.

How is it mounted to the wall?

The fitting mounts to a standard UK wall box or directly to a solid wall using the integral backplate. The 170mm projection means the loop sits clear of the wall surface, allowing light to spill behind the fitting as well as forward into the room.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. The 3-year warranty covers the LED and fitting together, and LED lifespan is typically 25,000+ hours under normal use.
