Knot II LED Semi-Flush Ceiling Light 3000K 40W - Chrome

The Knot II is a 620mm semi-flush ceiling light built around three curved opal acrylic loops that interconnect above a polished chrome circular canopy. An integrated 40W LED inside the acrylic forms casts 3000lm of warm 3000K light through the opal diffuser, creating ambient illumination without visible bulbs or fittings.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights or lower, the 200mm overall drop sits the acrylic loops close enough to the ceiling to suit low-ceiling rooms whilst retaining visual interest in the sculptural loop design. The non-dimmable LED runs on 220-240V mains and requires no additional control gear. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.

The three acrylic loops curve in a continuous flowing form rather than a rigid geometric shape, giving the fitting a softer profile than rectangular or circular LED panels. The opal white acrylic hides the internal LED strip whilst diffusing the light evenly across the 120° beam angle. The polished chrome base reflects ambient room light and adds a metallic accent that pairs with chrome taps, handles and fixtures elsewhere in the room.

The Knot II is part of Mantra's Spanish-designed collection and carries a 3-year warranty. At 1.8kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or adequate ceiling support rated for the combined weight of the light and its ceiling rose.

Is this dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and runs at a fixed 40W output on standard mains power. If dimming is required, consider a compatible driver-based LED fitting or a different model from Mantra's range.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 200mm drop from ceiling to base of the acrylic loops makes this suitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights and lower. In rooms with higher ceilings the fitting may appear visually small relative to the ceiling plane.

How bright is 3000lm in practice?

3000lm is roughly equivalent to a traditional 200W incandescent bulb. It provides sufficient ambient light for a 15-20m² bedroom or living room, or can act as the primary light source in a 12-15m² dining room when paired with task lighting.

Can the acrylic be cleaned?

Yes. Switch off the mains supply and allow the fitting to cool. Wipe the opal acrylic with a soft dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the acrylic and do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners near the LED or chrome components.
