Description

The Knightsbridge Torlan is a 1263mm (4ft) non-corrosive batten housing a 33W integrated SMD LED with DALI dimming control and selectable colour temperature via internal switch (3000K, 4000K or 5700K). The polycarbonate body carries an IP65 weatherproof rating and an IK08 impact rating, with stainless steel diffuser clips that resist corrosion in damp, outdoor and coastal environments. At 4000K the batten outputs 4,900 lumens at 148.5lm/W efficacy.

Designed for commercial, industrial and outdoor installations where lighting needs to resist moisture, dust and impact, the Torlan mounts to ceilings or walls via surface fixing, BESA box or suspension accessories (sold separately). The opal diffuser spreads light across a 115° beam angle, making the batten suitable for workshop lighting, covered car parks, loading bays, warehouse aisles, covered walkways and building perimeters where traditional fluorescent battens are being replaced with LED equivalents.

The DALI driver allows individual dimming control when connected to a DALI-compliant lighting control system, giving installers the ability to zone and schedule light levels across multiple battens from a central controller. The internal CCT switch allows the colour temperature to be set at the point of installation, reducing the need to stock separate warm white, cool white and daylight variants. The LED module is rated to L70B50 at 60,000 hours, meaning 70% of a batch should maintain 70% of initial output after 60,000 hours of use.

The Class I construction requires an earth connection. The polycarbonate body and opal diffuser are non-yellowing UV-stabilised grades. The grey finish blends with industrial ceiling finishes and the 90mm square profile gives a compact cross-section compared to older fluorescent batten housings. Knightsbridge backs the Torlan with a 5-year warranty.
