Description

The Knightsbridge TENAX 10-20W CCT Emergency LED Gear Tray combines adjustable wattage (10W, 15W, 20W) and adjustable colour temperature (3000K, 4000K, 5700K) on a single 235mm square aluminium circuit board. It carries a 3-hour emergency lithium (LiFePO4) battery pack and operates in maintained, non-maintained or switched emergency modes. The gear tray fits Knightsbridge TENAX One and TENAX Quad casings (sold separately) via four butterfly clips and connects to mains via push-fit terminals with loop-in-loop-out capability.

Designed for commercial, industrial and public-sector installations requiring emergency lighting with flexible output, the TENAX gear tray allows a single stock item to cover multiple specification requirements. Wattage and CCT are adjusted on the circuit board before installation using switches or jumpers (see product datasheet for configuration instructions). The push-fit terminal block speeds up installation and removes the need for screw terminals or connector blocks, particularly useful in multi-luminaire corridor or open-plan office runs.

The aluminium circuit board measures 235mm x 235mm x 28mm projection and carries SMD LEDs arranged in concentric rings. Output ranges from 1360 lumens at 10W 3000K to 2630 lumens at 20W 4000K, with efficacy between 141-151 lm/W depending on the configuration selected. The emergency mode delivers 125 lumens for three hours on battery power. The IP20 rating limits use to indoor dry environments, and the Class II construction requires no earth connection.

The gear tray is one component in the TENAX modular system. The casing (which holds the gear tray, provides the diffuser and mounts to the ceiling or wall) must be purchased separately. Knightsbridge also offers TENAX gear trays with microwave sensors, daylight sensors, and self-test emergency functionality — use the site filters or search function to compare variants.

Frequently Asked

Does this include the casing and diffuser?

No. This is the gear tray only. The TENAX casing (which holds the gear tray, provides the diffuser and mounts to the ceiling or wall) must be purchased separately. This gear tray is compatible with TENAX One and TENAX Quad casings from Knightsbridge.

How is the wattage and colour temperature adjusted?

The gear tray has switches or jumpers on the circuit board that allow you to select 10W, 15W or 20W output, and separately select 3000K, 4000K or 5700K colour temperature. These must be set before installation. See the product datasheet in the Downloads tab for configuration instructions.

What emergency modes are available?

This gear tray operates in maintained (light stays on continuously, switches to battery on mains failure), non-maintained (light comes on only when mains fails), or switched (light can be switched on/off normally, switches to battery on mains failure) emergency modes. The emergency battery provides 125 lumens for three hours.

Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits use to indoor dry environments only. For wet areas or outdoor use, you need a gear tray and casing combination with at least IP65 rating.
