Description

The Knightsbridge IP44 single wall spotlight is a pressed steel and glass spot fitting with a matt black finish, a pull cord on/off switch and an adjustable head that rotates 350° and tilts 90°. The fitting takes a single GU10 bulb up to 20W (sold separately) and carries an IP44 rating, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 where moisture is present but direct water contact is unlikely.

Designed for bathrooms, utility rooms, hallways and commercial washrooms, the spotlight mounts flush to the wall with a 123mm projection from surface to the front of the lamp head. The pull cord switch sits below the circular backplate, providing simple on/off control without needing a separate wall switch. The 90° tilt allows the beam to be directed downwards for task lighting at a basin or mirror, or angled to wash light across a wall or ceiling.

The matt black finish is a low-sheen powder coat over pressed steel construction, giving a modern industrial aesthetic that pairs with monochrome bathrooms, dark tile schemes and contemporary commercial interiors. The clear glass lens on the lamp head provides unobstructed light output from the GU10 bulb inside. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb selected — LED GU10s with dimmable drivers allow the fitting to work on a dimmer circuit.

What bathroom zones is the IP44 rating suitable for?

IP44 protection is suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, where moisture and splashing may occur but direct water jets are not expected. This includes positions above basins, next to mirrors and general bathroom wall areas outside the shower enclosure or bath zone 1.

Does it come with a bulb?

No. The fitting accepts any standard GU10 LED or halogen bulb up to 20W maximum, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W LED GU10 in 3000K warm white for bathroom task lighting.

Can the light direction be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The lamp head rotates 350° horizontally and tilts 90° vertically on a friction joint, allowing the beam to be redirected at any time without tools. The position holds once set.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself supports dimming, but compatibility depends on the GU10 bulb you install. Choose a dimmable LED GU10 and pair it with a compatible LED dimmer switch to enable dimming control.
