Description
The Knightsbridge flex outlet module is a single-width grid component that provides a fused outlet for fixed appliances, accepting flexible cables up to 10mm in diameter through a central aperture. The module is supplied with a replaceable 13A fuse to protect appliance circuits, and the black nickel faceplate provides a satin metallic finish that sits flush with the grid frame once installed.
Designed for kitchens, utility rooms and workshops where hardwired appliances such as waste disposal units, extractor hoods, or under-cabinet lighting need a dedicated fused outlet, the module clips into Knightsbridge grid mounting frames (sold separately) from the front without removing the frame from the wall. This makes it straightforward to add, remove or swap modules in an existing grid configuration without rewiring the back box. The 35mm minimum back box depth accommodates standard UK mounting boxes.
The module measures 56.3mm high by 24.8mm wide, occupying one grid space within a 2-way, 3-way or larger Knightsbridge grid frame. The black nickel finish is a dark satin metal that sits between polished chrome and matt black in tone, pairing well with stainless steel appliances and contemporary kitchen schemes. The IP20 rating confirms indoor use only, and the ABS and steel construction provides durability under repeated cable insertion and removal.

Frequently Asked
What cable diameter does the outlet accept?
The central aperture accepts flexible cables up to 10mm in diameter. This covers most standard appliance flex including 3-core 1.5mm² and 2.5mm² cable commonly used for fixed kitchen appliances.
Does the module include a grid frame?
No. This is a single module only. You need a separate Knightsbridge grid mounting frame (available in 2-way, 3-way, 4-way and larger configurations) to mount the module. The module clips into the frame from the front.
Can the fuse be replaced?
Yes. The module is supplied with a replaceable 13A fuse. If the fuse blows due to an appliance fault, it can be replaced with a standard BS1362 13A fuse of the correct size without removing the module from the grid frame.
What other finishes are available?
Knightsbridge produces grid modules in a range of finishes including polished chrome, brushed chrome, polished brass, matt black and white. Use the search function or filters to find other variants in stock at Niori.
