Description

This Knightsbridge bezel is an 87mm white ABS trim ring designed to fit CFR IP65 downlights. The bezel clips onto the downlight rim after installation, creating a finished edge against the ceiling surface and concealing the cut-out edge of the ceiling aperture. The 6mm projection from the ceiling plane gives a subtle raised profile without creating a shadow line in most installations.

The bezel is typically used when a CFR downlight is recessed into plasterboard, MDF or another ceiling material where the cut-out edge needs to be hidden. It's also used to provide a consistent visual finish across multiple downlights in a room, particularly when ceiling materials vary or cut-outs are slightly irregular. The white finish matches standard white ceiling paint and blends into the background rather than drawing attention to the fitting itself.

Made from ABS plastic, the bezel is lightweight and clips securely without requiring separate fixings once the downlight body is installed. The 87mm diameter is specific to the Knightsbridge CFR range — this bezel will not fit other downlight models or brands without checking compatibility first. ABS resists discolouration from heat better than cheaper plastics, though the fitting should only be paired with LED lamps within the CFR's rated wattage to avoid excessive heat buildup.
