Description

The Knightsbridge LWS2G is a 3W LED square brick light with a grey powder-coated die-cast aluminium body and a recessed aperture that casts warm 3500K light downwards and outwards in a 165-degree beam. The integrated LED runs directly from 230V mains with no separate driver required, and the IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction.

Designed for surface mounting on exterior walls, garden boundaries, steps and pathways, the LWS2G provides low-level guide lighting without creating glare. The 105mm square faceplate sits 28mm proud of the wall, with the LED recessed behind a clear diffuser that directs light down onto the ground or along a path edge. The Class II double-insulated construction means no earth connection is required during installation.

The grey powder-coated finish on the aluminium housing resists corrosion in outdoor conditions and pairs with contemporary render, brick, stone and composite cladding. The 160-lumen output provides sufficient wayfinding light for garden paths, patio edges and stepped access without overpowering adjacent planting or seating areas. The LED is rated for 60,000 hours to L70 (the point at which output drops to 70% of initial), equating to over 20 years at typical dusk-to-dawn outdoor use.

Can this be used indoors as well as outdoors?

Yes. The IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathrooms, hallways, staircases and any interior location where moisture resistance is beneficial, as well as all outdoor locations protected from direct water jets.

Does it need a separate driver or transformer?

No. The integrated LED runs directly from 230V mains with AC drive circuitry built into the fitting, so no separate driver box or transformer is required.

How is it mounted?

Surface-mounted to the wall using fixings through the rear of the aluminium body. The 28mm projection means it sits slightly proud of the wall surface with the LED recessed behind the faceplate.

Is it dimmable?

No. The LED driver circuitry is non-dimmable and will not respond to dimmer switches.
