Description

The Knightsbridge LWR2G is a 115mm diameter round guide light with an integrated 3W LED emitting 160 lumens at 3500K through a clear diffuser. The grey die-cast aluminium body sits just 28mm proud of the wall once surface-mounted, with the LED positioned behind a horizontal visor that casts warm white light downwards in a 165° beam angle. IP44 rated and constructed to Class II insulation, the fitting operates on mains voltage without requiring a separate driver.

Designed as pathway and step lighting for external walls, garden boundaries, driveways and building façades, the fitting mounts directly to brickwork, rendered walls or timber cladding using the rear fixing plate. The downward-cast beam suits positions at 300-600mm above ground level where it marks path edges, steps and changes in level without causing glare. The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for sheltered outdoor positions and internal use in utility areas, garages and covered entrances.

The grey powder-coated finish is a mid-tone that sits between anthracite and silver, pairing with both modern rendered façades and traditional brick or stone walls. The die-cast aluminium construction resists corrosion in typical UK coastal and urban environments, and the Class II double-insulated design means no earth connection is required during installation. The LED is rated for 60,000 hours L70B50 lifespan, equating to approximately 15-20 years of nightly use from dusk to dawn.

Is this suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for sheltered outdoor positions such as under eaves, covered porches, garden walls and building façades. Avoid positions exposed to heavy driving rain or direct water jets.

What mounting height works best?

For pathway and step lighting, mount the fitting 300-600mm above ground level so the downward beam marks the path edge or step without causing glare. For higher wall positions, the light acts more as architectural accent wash lighting.

Does it require an external LED driver?

No. The LED operates directly on 230V mains voltage without needing a separate driver or transformer. The fitting is wired directly to the mains supply during installation.

Can it be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and operates at full output whenever switched on.
