Klampenborg 1 Light Bollard - Black

The Klampenborg is a 1018mm outdoor bollard built from 304-grade stainless steel with a black powder-coated finish. A cylindrical post supports a 275mm diameter shade housing a clear glass cylinder around a single E27 bulb fitting. The IP44 rating protects internal components from rain and dust ingress, allowing the bollard to be installed in exposed garden, driveway and patio positions year-round.

Designed for pathway lighting, driveway edges and garden borders, the Klampenborg casts downward and lateral light from beneath the metal shade while the clear glass diffuses the lamp glow. The 1018mm height positions the light source above ground-level planting and typical border shrubs, reducing shadows cast across paths. The bollard mounts to a concrete foundation or paving slab via a base plate and requires a standard electrical supply run underground to the mounting point.

The 304 stainless steel construction resists corrosion in coastal and high-moisture environments better than mild steel alternatives, while the black powder coating adds a second layer of protection and gives a matt finish that minimises reflections under security or garden lighting. The Klampenborg accepts any E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 60W, giving flexibility to choose colour temperature and brightness to suit the garden layout. What IP rating does it carry and where can it be used?

The Klampenborg carries an IP44 rating, protecting against water splashes from any direction and dust ingress. This makes it suitable for exposed outdoor positions including garden pathways, driveways, patios and courtyards.

What bulb does it take?

The bollard takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K for pathway lighting or a cooler 4000K for security applications.

How is it installed?

The Klampenborg mounts via a base plate to a concrete foundation or paving slab. An electrical supply must be run underground to the mounting point, typically via SWA armoured cable buried at regulation depth. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Is the stainless steel suitable for coastal locations?

Yes. The 304-grade stainless steel resists salt-air corrosion better than mild steel or aluminium alternatives, and the black powder coating provides additional protection. Regular rinsing with fresh water will extend the finish life in high-salt environments.
