Description

The Kitesurf Loop is a 1240mm LED linear suspension light combining a horizontal white metal frame with a hollow frosted white ring diffuser. Three integrated LED modules totalling 50W produce 4000 lumens of 3000K warm white light through the frosted ring, giving even ambient illumination across the 120° beam angle. The frame extends from a rectangular white canopy suspended on three cables, with the frosted ring positioned off-centre to the frame's length.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas, the fitting suits rooms where the linear form can run parallel to a table or counter below. The adjustable drop between 450mm and 1500mm allows the pendant to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining surface in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The 1240mm length works over tables or islands approximately 1600-2000mm long, giving sufficient coverage without dominating the space.

The white powder-coated metal frame and frosted acrylic ring diffuser create a clean profile that pairs with both neutral-toned and cooler contemporary interiors. The frosted finish on the ring softens the LED output and prevents glare when viewed from seated positions. At 3kg total weight, the fitting requires a ceiling joist or suitable fixing point capable of supporting the load plus installation hardware. The integrated LEDs are non-replaceable but rated for long-term use, with the 3-year manufacturer's warranty covering LED failure.

No. The integrated LED modules are non-dimmable and operate at fixed 50W output on 220-240V mains. Connecting to a dimmer circuit may cause flicker or damage the driver.

What table or island length does it suit?

The 1240mm length works over dining tables or kitchen islands approximately 1600-2000mm long. For longer surfaces, consider positioning two Kitesurf Loop fittings in series or choosing a longer linear pendant from the Mantra range.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The suspension cables allow adjustment between 450mm and 1500mm drop during installation. Once set and the canopy fixed to the ceiling, further adjustment requires partial dismounting of the canopy to access the cable grips.

What ceiling fixing is required?

The 3kg weight requires a ceiling joist or a plasterboard fixing rated to at least 10kg to provide a safety margin. If the ceiling rose position does not align with a joist, use cavity toggles or spring toggles rated appropriately for the ceiling material and thickness.
