The Kitesurf Centre is a 1240mm linear LED suspension light built around a matt black metal structure intersected by a frosted white acrylic ring. The integrated 50W LED sits inside the ring and horizontal bar sections, casting 4000 lumens of 3000K warm white light across a 120° beam angle. The frosted acrylic diffuses the LED strip into a soft continuous glow rather than visible individual diodes.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.5m, the Kitesurf Centre works as a primary light source over surfaces up to 2.5m long. The adjustable suspension ranges from 450mm minimum to 1500mm maximum drop, allowing the fitting to be set 700-900mm above a worktop or dining table depending on ceiling height. The rectangular black canopy measures approximately 1000mm x 100mm and fixes to standard UK ceiling roses.

The matt black finish on the metal frame absorbs ambient light and creates defined edges and shadows, making the composition read clearly against white or light-coloured ceilings. The circular ring element measures approximately 600mm diameter and sits offset from the centre of the horizontal bars, creating an asymmetric composition that balances visual interest with functional light distribution. At 3kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing but remains within standard plasterboard toggle load limits when installed correctly.

The LED is non-dimmable and runs on 220-240V mains without requiring an external driver — the driver is integrated into the canopy housing. Mantra covers the fitting and LED module under a 3-year warranty from date of purchase.

No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed 4000 lumens output and is not compatible with dimmer switches. The LED driver is built into the canopy and does not support dimming protocols.

What length table or island does it suit?

The 1240mm length and 4000 lumen output work well over dining tables or kitchen islands between 1.8m and 2.5m long. For longer islands, two Kitesurf Centre fittings can be spaced along the run for even coverage.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

Yes, but the adjustment happens during installation by setting the cable length inside the canopy before final fixing. Once the canopy is secured to the ceiling, the drop is set unless the fitting is taken down and the cables re-adjusted.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum 450mm drop plus the fitting depth means the Kitesurf Centre works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above when hung 700-900mm above a table surface. Higher ceilings up to 3.5m can use the full 1500mm drop to bring the light down to the correct working height.
