Description

The Kitesurf is a 25cm circular wall light with a matt black aluminium ring and a half-disc frosted white diffuser that divides the circle horizontally. An integrated 8W LED sits behind the ring, casting a halo of 3000K warm white light around the perimeter while the frosted diffuser softens the glow. The result is ambient rather than task lighting, producing 640 lumens across the circular form.

Designed for hallways, living rooms, bedrooms and commercial spaces where decorative wall lighting is needed without a dominant glare point, the Kitesurf sits 55mm proud of the wall and mounts to a standard UK back plate. The circular geometry and matt black finish pair with industrial, modern and Scandinavian interiors, while the frosted white diffuser prevents the fitting from appearing too heavy on lighter-toned walls. The 8W LED runs cooler and more efficiently than equivalent halogen wall lights.

The frosted white half-disc creates a visual break across the circle, giving the fitting a graphic quality when viewed from the front and preventing it from reading as a plain black disc. The LED is non-dimmable and fixed at 3000K, which sits in the warm white range between soft ambient (2700K) and neutral white (4000K). The fitting weighs 0.5kg and carries a 3-year warranty.

Is the Kitesurf dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is fixed at 8W and 3000K and cannot be dimmed. If you need dimmable wall lighting, consider a wall light with replaceable bulbs where a dimmable LED can be paired with a compatible dimmer switch.

What is the light output like?

The 640 lumens spread around the halo perimeter creates soft ambient light rather than focused task light. It works as decorative accent lighting in hallways or as secondary lighting in living rooms, but would not provide enough output to light a room on its own.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The Kitesurf carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor use only. It is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor installations where moisture is present.

How is it mounted?

The fitting mounts to a standard UK wall back plate with two fixing points. The 55mm projection from the wall is fixed and the fitting cannot be angled or adjusted once installed.
