Description

The Kitesurf is a 20cm circular LED wall light built around a matt black aluminium ring with a frosted white acrylic diffuser covering the lower half of the circle. An integrated 8W LED runs around the inner edge of the ring, emitting 640lm of warm 3000K light that reflects off the wall behind and through the frosted panel, creating a soft halo effect around the perimeter.

Designed for hallways, staircases and bedrooms where low-profile ambient or accent lighting is needed, the Kitesurf mounts flush to the wall with a 55mm projection from the mounting surface. The circular form and half-moon fill give the fitting a geometric profile that works in contemporary, minimalist and industrial schemes. The matt black finish absorbs light rather than reflecting it, keeping focus on the halo glow rather than the fitting itself.

The 200mm diameter and 0.4kg weight make the Kitesurf suitable for plasterboard and masonry walls without requiring substantial fixings. The frosted acrylic diffuser softens the LED without eliminating its directional quality, so the light casts both upward onto the ceiling and downward toward the floor while maintaining a clear halo outline. Multiple Kitesurf fittings can be spaced along a hallway or stairwell to create repeating accent points without overwhelming the wall.

Is the Kitesurf dimmable?

No. The integrated 8W LED is not compatible with dimmer switches and is designed to operate at full 640lm output on standard 220-240V mains switching.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The Kitesurf carries no stated IP rating in the specification, so it should only be used in bathroom zones where water ingress is not a risk. For zones 1 and 2 near showers and baths, an IP44-rated or higher wall light is required.

How is the light distributed?

The LED runs around the inner edge of the circular ring. Light reflects off the wall behind the fitting and passes through the frosted white panel on the lower half, creating a halo glow that spreads both upward and downward from the circle.

What fixing method does it use?

The Kitesurf mounts via a back plate fixed to the wall with screws and wall plugs. The fitting weighs 0.4kg and can be mounted on plasterboard with appropriate cavity fixings or directly into masonry.
