Description
The Kirmarne is a two light spotlight bar for the ceiling, with a rectangular steel back plate and two cylindrical spotlights set on short chrome stems. The plate has a satin nickel frame around a chrome centre, and the spotlight heads are satin nickel too, so the whole fitting reads as one soft metallic piece with a little shine at its heart. It measures 28cm long and 7cm wide, slim enough to sit neatly against the ceiling. Each head takes a GU10 bulb, and each light is rated at 4.6W and gives 400 lumens, running from a 220-240V mains supply. It is rated IP20, which settles where it lives: indoors, in dry rooms, and never in a bathroom or on an outside wall.
Both spotlights are adjustable, so you can aim the light exactly where it is needed: one head down a hallway and the other at a framed picture, or both across a run of shelving in a living room or study. That makes a spotlight bar a sensible choice whenever a room needs light directed rather than simply spread. Two heads on one bar also let a single ceiling point do the work of two, which suits hallways and smaller rooms where ceiling space is tight. The cool, neutral tone of satin nickel and chrome sits comfortably with white walls, pale wood and darker cabinetry alike.
The body is steel, finished in satin nickel with chrome details, and there is no switch on the fitting itself: it is switched at the wall, so it runs from your existing light switch. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Packed, it weighs 0.834KG. Because GU10 is a widely used bulb cap, replacement bulbs are easy to find whenever one needs changing.

Frequently Asked
Can the Kirmarne spotlight bar go in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, which means it is meant for dry indoor rooms only, so we would keep it out of bathrooms and away from outdoor walls.
How bright is each spotlight?
Each of the two lights is rated at 4.6W and gives 400 lumens, so the bar casts two directed pools of light.
What size is the spotlight bar?
It measures 28cm long and 7cm wide, a slim, compact bar that sits neatly against the ceiling in hallways and smaller rooms.
Which bulbs does it take?
Each spotlight takes a GU10 bulb, a widely used cap, so finding replacements is straightforward whenever a bulb needs changing.
Does the spotlight bar have its own switch?
No, there is no switch on the fitting itself. It is switched at the wall, so it works from your existing light switch.
Can the spotlight heads be angled?
Yes, both cylindrical heads are adjustable, so you can point each one independently at a picture, a shelf or a doorway.
