Description

The Kinke is a 2-metre arc floor lamp built around a curved stainless steel frame finished in matt black, with a weighted 400mm circular base and an integrated hook at the end of the arc for hanging a pendant or lantern. The frame sweeps 1550mm out from the base before curving back down, positioning the hook approximately 1.8m above floor level at its highest point, clear of head height in most residential spaces.

Designed as a portable lighting support rather than a fixed ceiling pendant, the Kinke allows a hanging light fitting to be repositioned without rewiring or drilling. The weighted base provides stability for outdoor use on patios, terraces and gardens, where it can support weatherproof lanterns or outdoor-rated pendants up to approximately 5kg, and indoor use in living rooms, dining areas or conservatories where overhead ceiling fixings are not feasible or desired. The 15kg total weight of the frame keeps the lamp grounded on bare floors, decking and paving without tipping under typical outdoor wind loads.

The stainless steel construction resists corrosion in outdoor conditions, and the matt black powder-coat finish softens reflections under daylight. The arc curvature is fixed. It does not adjust. But the hook itself can rotate 360°, allowing a hung fitting to be oriented as needed. The base footprint of 400mm diameter requires clear floor space but does not demand fixing to the ground, making the Kinke suitable for seasonal repositioning between indoor and outdoor settings.

Does the Kinke include a light fitting or bulb?

No. The Kinke is a support frame with a hook. You hang your own pendant light fitting, lantern or outdoor-rated light from the hook. The frame does not include wiring, a bulb or a shade.

What weight can the hook support?

The hook is designed to support pendant fittings up to approximately 5kg. Heavier fittings may destabilise the arc or cause the base to tip, particularly outdoors in wind.

Is the Kinke suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. The stainless steel frame and powder-coat finish resist corrosion in outdoor conditions. The 15kg weight provides stability on patios, decking and paving. Any light fitting you hang from the hook must carry its own outdoor IP rating if used in exposed positions.

Can the arc height or curve be adjusted?
