Description

The Kenzie is a 3 light crystal wall light with large Asfour crystal pendalogues and long hexagonal drops suspended from a polished chrome frame. Each crystal is multi-facet cut to refract light across multiple planes, and the vertical hexagonal drops extend below the chrome mounting plate to add decorative length. The light source comes from three G4 capsule bulbs (sold separately) housed behind the crystal array, which refract and multiply the light output across the room.

Designed for bedroom feature walls, hallways and living rooms where decorative rather than task lighting is needed, the Kenzie projects 200mm from the wall and measures 270mm wide by 220mm tall. An integrated rocker switch on the chrome backplate allows the light to be controlled without a separate wall switch, making it suitable for positions where adding new wiring would be impractical. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light during the day and provides a clean metallic accent against painted walls.

The crystal pendalogues are precision-cut Asfour crystal from Egypt, which ranks as optical-grade K9 crystal and offers higher refractive index than standard glass droplets. The hexagonal drops measure approximately 80-100mm in length and hang on individual chrome pins, allowing them to move slightly when air circulates through the room. The combined weight of the chrome frame and crystal elements is 1.6kg, which requires secure fixing into a solid wall or a suitable cavity anchor rated for the load.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the Kenzie is dimmable when paired with a trailing-edge dimmer switch and compatible G4 bulbs. Standard leading-edge dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs may cause buzzing or flicker with low-voltage halogen or LED G4 capsules.

Does the integrated switch replace a wall switch?

The rocker switch on the chrome backplate allows the light to be turned on and off at the fitting itself, which is useful where running new wiring to a wall switch would be impractical. The light still needs to be wired to mains power, but the local switch gives control without needing a separate wall switch.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the G4 bulbs to cool fully before handling. Remove dust with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. For deeper cleaning, individual crystal pendalogues and drops can be carefully unhooked, washed in warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid, rinsed and dried with a lint-free cloth before re-hanging.
