Description
The Kami is a 508mm three-light Tiffany pendant with a domed shade built from hand-cut art glass in amber, caramel, ginger and emerald tones arranged in a floral pattern. Each piece of glass is cut, ground and wrapped in copper foil before being soldered into the vintage bronze frame, following traditional Tiffany construction methods. Three E27 bulbs inside the shade (sold separately) cast warm light through the coloured glass, creating shifting patterns on surrounding surfaces.
Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Kami provides both ambient and decorative light. The 1500mm chain allows the pendant to be set 600-900mm above a worktop or 700-800mm above a dining table depending on ceiling height. The vintage bronze canopy and decorative chain finial complement Art Nouveau, Arts and Crafts, and transitional interiors where period detail or colour accent is wanted.
The shade measures 267mm in height and weighs approximately 3kg when fitted, requiring a ceiling joist or suitable fixing for safe installation. The vintage bronze finish on the metalwork is darker and more oxidised than polished or antique brass, sitting closer to graphite with warm brown undertones. Each shade shows slight variation in the glass colour and solder line placement due to the hand-assembly process, so no two Kami pendants are identical.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Kami take?
The pendant takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair Tiffany shades with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to enhance the amber and caramel glass tones without excessive heat buildup inside the shade.
Is the glass hand-made?
Yes. Each piece of art glass is hand-cut, ground and wrapped in copper foil before being soldered into the bronze frame. This traditional Tiffany construction method means slight variations in glass colour, solder line placement and tonal balance between individual shades.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 1500mm chain is adjustable on installation. For a dining table or kitchen island the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the Kami if the chain is shortened during fitting, with a minimum drop of 394mm from ceiling to shade base.
How is the glass cleaned?
Tiffany shades collect dust in the solder lines and on the textured glass surfaces. Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth or use a soft brush attachment on low suction. Avoid soaking the shade or using household glass cleaners, as moisture can penetrate the solder joints and cause oxidation of the copper foil over time.
