Description
The Kami is a Tiffany-style wall light with a handcrafted art glass shade set on a vintage bronze backplate. The shade comprises 368mm of individual glass pieces in amber, caramel, ginger and emerald tones, arranged in a floral Art Nouveau pattern with soldered copper foil joins. Two E14 bulb sockets behind the glass cast light outward through the coloured panels, turning the shade itself into the decorative element.
Designed for hallways, living room accent walls and bedroom reading positions, the Kami provides both ambient wash light and decorative colour projection onto adjacent wall surfaces. The 140mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of door frames and furniture in narrower corridors while the 178mm height gives sufficient presence on a wall without requiring high ceilings. The vintage bronze backplate sits flush to the wall and conceals the cable entry and mounting screws once fitted.
Each shade is assembled by hand, so the exact placement of amber, caramel and emerald glass pieces varies between individual fittings. The warm colour palette pairs with traditional, Arts and Crafts, and transitional interiors, and the glass diffuses the bulb filament or LED source to avoid harsh glare. The copper foil soldering and bronze finish gain a patina over time, which is a characteristic of the material rather than a defect.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Kami takes two E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a soft ambient glow through the coloured glass.
Is the glass hand-made?
Yes. Each shade is assembled by hand using the copper foil method, so the exact placement and tone of the amber, caramel, ginger and emerald glass pieces varies between individual fittings. This is a characteristic of Tiffany-style production.
How is the shade cleaned?
Wipe the glass gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the copper foil joins and do not use household glass cleaners or sprays on the shade.
What rooms suit this wall light?
The Kami works in hallways, on living room feature walls, flanking a fireplace, in bedrooms as beside reading lights, and in dining rooms as accent lighting. The warm colour palette and 140mm projection suit narrower corridors and spaces where the fitting needs to clear door frames and furniture.
