Description

The Kamarne is a compact recessed LED downlight in a black finish. It has a round aluminium bezel 8.8cm across and an inner head that tilts, so you can aim the light where you want it instead of settling for a fixed beam. The LED is integrated, drawing 6W and giving 450 lumens of warm white light at 2700K, the soft, golden tone most of us want in the evening. It runs on mains power at 220 to 240V. The IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors and dry. It is a downlight for living spaces, never a bathroom or an outdoor soffit.

A black downlight makes a crisp, deliberate detail against a white or pale ceiling, and it sits comfortably in modern interiors where frames, handles and other fittings are dark too. We like it in living rooms, hallways, landings, bedrooms and studies, set in a row or a grid for even general light. Because the head tilts, one or two can be turned towards a picture, a bookcase or a textured wall to give the room depth.
