Description

This is a set of three square LED downlights in a black finish, each with an aluminium body and an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. Each square trim is 8.8cm long and 8.8cm wide, and the round lens sits in a tilting inner ring, so you can angle the light where you want it. Each light draws 6W and gives 600 lumens at 4000K, a clean, neutral white. The IP rating is IP20, and that settles where they belong: indoors, in dry rooms.

Recessed downlights suit living rooms, hallways, landings, bedrooms and studies, and a run of three sits neatly along a ceiling or a bulkhead. Because each head tilts, you can wash a wall of framed prints with light, pick out a bookcase or draw the eye to a sideboard. The black trim gives a crisp outline against a white or pale ceiling, and it sits comfortably with black picture frames, dark metal hardware and deeper wood tones. They are dimmable, so on a compatible dimmer switch you can soften the room for quiet evenings and turn it back up for reading.

There is no switch on the fittings themselves: they are switched at the wall, so your existing light switch controls them. Each one needs a 6.8cm cut-out and a recess depth of 4.2cm, and sprung clips hold each body in place once it is fitted. They run on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, carry an energy class of E and should be installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions are available as a download, and the packed set weighs 0.57KG. Before you order, measure the space in your ceiling void so the 4.2cm recess has room to sit.
